This medicine belongs to the general group of medicines known as Antineoplastics. This medicine is a chemotherapy agent.

It is used in treating certain types of brain cancer and melanoma, wherein this medicine interferes with the growth of rapidly dividing cells, like cancer cells, causing them to eventually die.

This medicine is swallowed whole with a glass of water. Take exactly as directed. Consult your doctor if you need to follow any specific dietary programme.

If the capsule is damaged or split, be careful not to inahle the contents of the same and dispose the same.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the formulation of this medication or any other medication in any other form.

In case of overdose, call your local poison control center at 1-800-222-1222. If the victim has collapsed or is not breathing, call local emergency services at 911.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to conceive.

If you conceive whilst on a course with this medication inform your doctor immediately.

If you need to undergo any kind of surgery, inform your doctor you are taking this medicine.

Do not go in for any kind of vaccinations whilst on a course with this medication. Consult your doctor about the same.

Do not double doses to make up for a missed dose. However, if you miss a dose entirely contact your doctor immediately.

Store at room temperature between 59°—85°F, away from heat and moisture.

Use effective methods of birth control and avoid getting pregnant whilst on a course with this medication as it may harm the fetus.

If you are breast feeding whilst on a course with this medication, inform your doctor about the same, as it may harm the baby.
